Lots of neutrals. Fun necklaces. A hint of androgyny.
I feel a little bit like a 20's gentleman in this outfit but I still like it - it's not every day that a menswear-inspired outfit fits me. You see, menswear looks great on boyish figures. Whenever I see a "manly" outfit on a girl and like it, she is always tall and really thin. Wide hips and straight cuts with little shape just don't go together.
The only way to make this style work is to choose a flattering top (structured shirts are great) and feminine accessories (a big necklace, wedges). It is also important to watch your proportions (it's all about proportions when you are looking to flatter your body!), create a shape (tuck in that shirt) and when in doubt, layer (this outfit would look nice with a fitted blazer or a cardigan).
